This is the ONLY shoe my mother could wear and relieve her rubbed hammer toe pain at every step. The soft top allowed the redness to cool down & disappear. She has bunions, bunionettes, severe hammertoes crossed over adjacent toes, flat feet. The search was long. Custom orthotic shoes were off the market in lieu of inserts only due to better profit in the athletic market. At 88 she was adrift in a closing area of medicine & suffering more every day.
