I have feet that are a nightmare to try and fit. Imagine putting shoes on feet that look like shoe boxes! When i called, i talked to the lady and she walked me through the process. She told me how to measure and what kind of shoe to get. Even though the first pair I got didn't fit, she told me what style would. They were also patient with me. After about 10 purchases and exchanges, I finally found some that will work.

If you have weird feet like I do, give them a call and explain your issue.

I never thought I'd need to go off Amazon to find something as basic as a 6E wide orthopedic velcro shoe for my dad, but boy am I glad I did! These shoes really are phenomenal, and I want his retirement to be spent leisurely walking in them!

Having wide feet (6E width) has always proved difficult to find shoes.

A volunteer (S&R) group I belong to required black boots. I searched for years. I finally found ICS and a greats selection of shoes and uniform boots. Customer service is outstanding.

I recently had both my hips replaced. I visited several online shoes , looking for something to help walk in comfort. Honestly every shoe I bought did not fit. I couldn't understand why, when each website gave a description of what would work. I wear a size 13 extra wide and the description said I needed a size 20 9E!!!!!! So I bought into there nonsense. Then I found ICSShoes.com. Their was actually a phone number to talk to a Live Person. A lady named Josie answered the phone. She took the time to set the record straight on what shoe I needed. Not very many companies carry workboots wide enough for my feet so it is a relief to find them. I bought 2 pair of Hoss Carson 6" boots and they fit very nicely. Almost wish it was summer so I could wear them immediately.

After my homeless adventure left me with deformed and disabled feet, I attempted to have custom-made rugged work boots crafted for my feet. It was a total debacle. I had 2E wide feet before my homeless adventure and now I needed custom insoles to go with my extra-extra wide feet. I went on the internet and did a search for extra-extra wide boots and came across ICS Shoes. ICS shoes was the only website dedicated to people with unique foot requirements without going through the custom-made process. I am so grateful for ICS Shoes offering rugged footwear for men in extended widths to accommodate my deformed feet comfortably. I cannot enthusiastically recommend ICS Shoes enough to folks with unique foot requirements.



Suggestions for improvement: It would be greatly appreciated if ICS Shoes could pass on the following recommendations to your manufacturers:



Rugged footwear is essential for being outdoors. I noticed work/winter boots only come in an eight inch height. I would suggest offering extra-extra wide (9E) work boots in a ten or twelve inch height and (9E) winter boots in a twelve or fourteen inch height. Not sure if it feasible, but maybe they can do a limited run and see how the market responds. Also, I would suggest a boot model with extra leather in the shank of the sole (extra thick between boot and sole) to make the platform more stable. Again, very grateful for the extended selection of extra-extra wide footwear that accommodates custom made insoles and look forward to rugged improvements in upcoming work/winter boot models.

Background: My feet were never the same after my homeless adventure found me on death's doorstep. During my lengthy recovery, my feet were swelled and numb for over two months. Unknown to myself, or the medical professionals, as the swelling subsided the tendons in my toes contracted, the cartilage in the joints dissipated causing the bones to fuse. I now have 'hammer toes' in the six middle digits on each foot and require prescription orthotics under my damaged feet to be able to stand and walk functionally. Aside from the constant pain, I can no longer run, jump, weightlift squat, or any other explosive movements with my feet.



Situation: Having such deformed feet, I found it difficult to purchase footwear 'off the shelf' and explored having high quality custom made boots to accommodate my unique feet. It was a total debacle and I probably ended up doing more damage to my feet as a result of my intense desire to wear high quality boots.



Solution: I commenced my search for accommodating footwear with the idea that I would probably require 'diabetic' footwear for my feet. The last time I looked into 'diabetic' footwear the choice was between a brown or black leather velcro-closure 'sneaker' type shoe that was more for comfort around the house than ruggedness for outdoor exploration. Then I came across ICS Shoes and my expectations were completely annihilated. They offered rugged hiking/work footwear in a variety of styles in extra-extra wide sizes and greater depth to accommodate orthotics. Needless to say, this is EXACTLY what I was searching for.



With the above in mind I wholeheartedly endorse the product:

It is stylish, rugged, comfortable and adequately accommodates my prescription orthotics. Unfortunately, I needed to size up to a 6E width so I only wore these boots for a short time until I could order and receive a 6E width in another style since these were only offered up to 5E width. I would have ordered these if they were offered in 6E width.



I cannot adequately express my gratitude to ICS Customer Support for all their help in assisting me with the proper footwear for my needs. I originally ordered two pairs of these in 5E width. I was only sent one pair which ended up being a blessing in disguise. I emailed Customer Support explaining the situation and if it were possible to cancel my second pair and order another style in a 6E width. The different style was eleven dollars more and requested they charge my card on file to make up the difference. Not only did Customer Service comply with my request but did not charge me the eleven dollars because it was their mistake for not sending me the two pair I originally ordered. INCREDIBLE!



Needless to say, as long as I can find accommodating foot ware from their inventory, they have a customer for life. I cannot ENTHUSIASTICALLY recommend ICS Shoes enough to those of us with unique foot ware requirements.

Great company! I needed to return a pair of shoes because of the wrong size. ICS was quick to refund the purchase price without any delay or hassle. Will definetly be buying from this company in the future.

I bought hiking shoes since my normal brand no longer offers WW as an option. These shoes give plenty of space in the toe box, which is a struggle for me with wide feet and bunions. I had to return the first pair and get a full size smaller. Normally I wear a 7 1/2, but with these I needed a 6 1/2. They provide great support, and no painful pressure.

It's a challenge to find shoes to fit the feet of our two 92-year-old parents. Their feet are different sizes from left and right and from morning to night! They are frail and unstable, so finding shoes that genuinely fit their width (and length) is critical to their safety. They need easy-on and easy-off AND light-weight shoes. Plus, Grandma is still a fashionista! ICS shoes hit every single requirement. You should see Grandma in her red MaryJanes!! ICS has greatly extended their independence. We are grateful.

Finally I found a site that sells 9E widths. For years I wore 6E and they were tight. But ICS has changed my life. I bought three pairs of 9E widths.

At 80 years of age, I am still working full time as an agricultural salesman. After two knee surgeries and one very involved foot surgery, I have to treat my 4E feet very carefully. The latest purchase proved to be as excellent as all the ones prior.

My Rockports are very substantial and not suprisingly very comfortable.

For nearly 50 years we have had to search, search & settle for a relatively decent fitting shoes for our disabled daughter' arthritic, misshapen, flat footed, bunion riddled, hammertoe, odd shape/size foot. With her guidance & encouragement I ordered a pair of their shoes. My daughter' foot width is the widest made for women- size 7 7E. Received the shoes, had zero hope for success but when she put them on her face beamed the bliss of, for the 1st time ever, a person feeling comfortable in shoes and pain-free walking. I cannot express this mother's relief and joy at seeing my daughter walk free of pain and extreme agony.
